We are experiencing a critical failure in one of our data centers that is forcing us to shut down NOMADS entirely. FTPPRD will still be accessible for both FTP and HTTPS access, but full file download from nomads.ncep.noaa.gov as well as grib filter and openDAP services will be down.

Dataflow has been restored and data should be backfilling. Here are current stats on delays:

RTMA/URMA up to 1hr 10min delay
RAP/HRRR 50min delay
NWM up to 1hr 20min delay
GFS up to 1hr delay
NAM 1 hr delay

NOMADS has been moved to our College Park data center, files should be updating on time.

Users should be aware that downloads during peak model times will be slow until we can move back to Boulder.

Pour info: maintenance prévue aujourd'hui pendant quelques heures à la NOAA, ça semble tomber pendant le chargement de ce soir, mais ça va peut-petre se débloquer après 19h00, donc soit ce sera le cas et les vents se chargeront entre 19h00 et 19h30 sur les courses avec une emprise pas trop grande, soit les vents passeront en décalage.

La NOAA semble avoir quelques problèmes encore aujourd'hui, selon le message tombé cette après-midi sur leur liste de diffusion.
En conséquence, et si ça ne se débloque pas d'ici 19h30, les vents sur toutes les courses risquent de passer en décalage, comme hier soir.

We are still experiencing extreme disruptions to some of our NOMADS services. Within the last 30 minutes we attempted to restore the https service with some limited success. However, the GRIB Filter Service is still not functioning adequately to support the user requests. All services to FTPPRD have been stable for several hours now.

Support staff are continuing to work the problems, but at this time it is unknown when all services will be fully restored. We appreciate your patience during this impactful time.
