Ca me rassure on a lu la même chose. Ceci dit le gars qui devait me brancher la fibre pour mieux jouer sur RG m'a déjà posé deux lapins, c'est peut être son cousin qui refait l'électricité de NOAA

J'ai vu le message sur la limite à 100 requêtes.

Une dalle 360 x 180° c'est une seule requête x 192 h (pas de 12h) ca fait 16 requêtes. Ca prend environ 2 minutes sur nomads. Mais le jeu ne fonctionne pas comme ça et redécouper les fichiers grib pour chaque course après téléchargement ça doit être compliqué ...

Ca a l'air de charger ?, Bizarre qu'on n'ait pas senti l'outage annoncé ? Ou ça viendra plus tard ? No comprendo.

Dans l'absolu ça peut paraître simple, ensuite dans les détails c'est un petit peu plus groovy...

On va bien trouver une solution !

All,

We are no longer able to maintain the NOMADS website and it will be going off-line as previously advertised ( https://www.weather.gov/media/notificat ... geaaac.pdf) . We will work to have it up and running again once the maintenance is completed. We are expecting ~22/07Z but will notify if the outage window is extended.

Il semble qu'il y ait une mise à jour dans les répertoires de téléchargements de la NOAA ces prochains jours selon le message ci-dessous.
Tout sera fait pour que le chargement se passe toujours bien, au pire ça décalera une fois ou deux le temps qu'on retombe sur nos pieds.

Apologies for the delay, here is the update for this week. Please note that the GFSv16, the LAMP/GLMP, and the NOS upgrades are all now planned for Monday, March 22, barring CWD. Also the notification about the upcoming changes to download limits for NOMADS & FTPPRD is linked below the Model Upgrades list, and will be effective April 20.

Upcoming Model Upgrades
GFS to version 16 - March 22
* GFSv16 will incorporate the wave model formerly known as wave_multi1. Because of this, the directory structure for its output will change from gfs.YYYYMMDD/CC/<files> to gfs.YYYYMMDD/CC/<component>/<files> where component is atmos or wave.

NOS implementing WCOFS and NGOFS2
* NOS is implementing two new grids - U.S. West Coast (WCOFS) and the upgraded northern Gulf of Mexico (NGOFS2).
* NGOFS, NEGOFS, and NWGOFS will be retired and their products (NetCDF output files and web products) will no longer be available after the upgrade. They are replaced by NGOFS2.

Upgrade of HIRES-W & HREF
* Upgrade includes replacing the Nonhydrostatic Multiscale Model on B-grid (NMMB) with a Finite Volume Cubed Sphere (FV3) model within the HIRESW system. This will increase the resolution to 3km from 3.2km, add 10 new vertical levels, and extend the forecast range from 48h to 60h.

The National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) will be making a change to the user access policy for NOMADS and FTPPRD only. This policy is applied as a sum of hits per user Internet Protocol (IP) address across all sites listed above.

New para nomads website coming
We are currently working to stand up a para NOMADS in our College Park data center to support NCO's transition from WCOSS to WCOSS2 in 2022. The URL is https://para-nomads-cprk.ncep.noaa.gov/ but it is not serving active data at this time.

NOMADS upgrade coming
Within the next 12 months we will be upgrading the NOMADS website. Functionality should remain the same for existing scripts for grib filter, HTTPS downloads, and openDAP services, but the NOMADS front end webpage as well as the grib filter pages will see some changes. A test version of the upgraded website will be available before the upgrade, and an SCN advertising the changes will also be published and passed along here. There will be no changes to FTPPRD associated with this upgrade.

Pour nous ça correspond à la bascule de lundi soir, sous réserve d'avis de tempête (CDW).

Le point important est :

120 hits par minute ça passe pour RG ? 192h de prévision sur une zone c'est 16 hits.

Oui, il me semble avoir compris aussi que le chemin de l'url allait changer, simplement certes, en ajoutant juste le sous-répertoire "atmos", mais changer quand même.
Lundi soir, ça ne m'arrange vraiment pas, je devrais être en pleine préparation de couscous, mais bon. Je vais essayer de préparer ce soir de nouveaux scripts avec ce chemin actualisé, je surveillerai et quand ça bloquera si ça bloque, j'interromprais les anciens scripts et les remplacerais par les nouveaux.
A priori ce n'est pas grand chose, sauf qu'il faut le faire pour la quinzaine de courses actuellement ouvertes, et deux fois par course, pour le script du matin et celui du soir.

Je surveillerai à chaque début de chargement à partir de ce soir, et j'agirai quand il faudra s'il le faut. Pas folichon comme taf mais bon, j'ai signé alors il faut assumer Et je ferai que ce bon vieux script, malgré ses imperfections, continue à nous fournir les vents, le temps que je trouve le courage et le temps d'en pondre un mieux pensé

Pour ce qui est du nombre max de hits par minute, c'était dans les tuyaux depuis quelques mois, j'ai suivi le webinaire à ce propos dernièrement. A priori, sans rien changer, ça devrait ralentir un peu le chargement des vents car il y aura une minute de délai après chaque dépassement du nombre max de hits; pas vraiment grave en heure d'hiver, plus embêtant en heure d'été... Là aussi, il faudrait revoir la procédure de chargement. En attendant, un palliatif sera de restreindre au maximum les emprises de chargement des vents sur toutes les courses pour éviter des chargements inutiles, voire peut-être restreindre un peu les valeurs de prévisions max.

En rajoutant "/atmos" dans l'url, ça a l'air de fontctioner; actualisé sur les (15 environ) courses en cours (matin + soir) + la générique pour les futures courses;
faudra vérifier demain matin;

"problème" ou "max hits" touché ce soir, d'où retard sur certaines courses, repplic + JV ce soir;
la NOAA a enclenché son limiteur, on l'a senti ( repplic + jv);
aux admins des courses de restreindre / contraindre / actualiser l'emprise de la zone des vents et de moduler la valeur de la prévision max de chaque course...

en heure d'hiver on avait de la marge, l'été (en heure d') c'est toujours plus tendu; en attendant mieux, le plus simple serait de diminuer la valeur prévs max sur les challenges courts: Marseille, Emden, Fast et autres, pour répartir la charge et le moment quand ça charge, pour ne pas handicaper le JV qui suce le plus;

atmos, atmosphère ! quelle était cette super actrice qui parlait d'atmosphère ? de l'air ! on devrait arriver à charger le vent
