today in the JV i crossed cap horn and was gutted to find my time wasnt as it showed on the routing.

my routing said i would pass the long lat of cap horn marker at 10.50 ish
it actually gave me the passing over 30 mins later and the long lat was completly different

so i didnt make the place i was trying to achieve

but 30 mins seems abit way out
any ideas

I don't know if I understood well, but I think the place at Cape Horn is not the most important, the most important place is that of arrival, no?

agreed but then no piont in having the section of arrival times or split times at those places,
also heelps to calculate how well you are doing.

in real sailing leg times are important for me its a gee up if you know you are doing well

What i am saying is my time was later than when i crossed the cap horn line by over 30 mins
