WARNING

To all English speaking sailors.

There is a self-imposed bug that haunts RG and will strike when France switches to daylight saving time (March 29th).

Do not use programmations and expect them to work, that's one case when the windvane (regulator) is better, until the time is truly over the jump.

Just a friendly reminder

p.s. I also wish to re-iterate my advice to RG that it would be far better if the 'bascules' (weather updates) were linked to UTC rather than French time!

If it is best to sail on the regulator what is then the earliest time that a schedule point can be set with the time changing from 2:00 to 3:00 French time?? :?

Hi limemight, Coromandel and all english speaking people,

Tonight at 02h00 UTC+1, the local time will shift to 03h00 UTC+2.

The scheduler doesn't work well during these time shifts. Some players have tried it though, by adding (or subtracting) 1 hour to every schedule point after the time shift before validating your schedules, but it's not clear if this really work properly.

Better than the scheduler, the waypoints and the autoheading work fine, without troubles.

The scheduler should come back to normal behaviour at 03h00 UTC+2.
On sleepless nights during the previous time shift, we tried to implement a fix, but it turned out to be buggy and led to more troubles after the time shift.
This is why the wiser solution is to let the game and the scheduler as it is.
If scheduler points are needed just after 03h00 UTC+1, stay online for a while and refresh to check everything is ok.

Once again, waypoints and autoheading are much more reliable, use them if you really need some controls during this specail night.
We apologize for this small inconvenience, twice a year.
